Red Breasted Mergansers
Long, sleek, solid constructed
(shellducks) mergansers - small carved bill and carved little
crest. Both have an upturned tail. The hen has a downward looking
head. Black glass eyes. Inserted flat lead weight with aged brass
screws. Slightly aged.

Reaching Yellowleg
Long reaching yellowleg on two
old fence wire legs. One piece with walnut splined bill and black
German glass eyes. Carved wing and aged. Some paint loss on purpose.
Measures about 14" long. Stands 13 1/2" tall.

Long Bill Curlew
Measures 21 1/2" long and
10 1/4" tall. Solid construction, two piece bird with removable
head. Finely painted with quite some detailing of feathers. This
model is the largest of all the shorebirds I make.

Curlew
One piece carving; body, head
and bill. Standing on two old fence wire legs with black base.
Slightly aged with brown/yellow hue and many layers of paint.
Glass eyes. Measures 12 1/4" by 5 1/2" from head to
bottom of body. Stands 13 1/2" tall.
